Heartland Democracy announces "21st Century Voter Registration" report
February 12, 2009
Yesterday, February 11th, Heartland Democracy announced the release of its new report "21st Century Voter Registration: Election integrity demands clean and complete voter rolls" at a press briefing. The report makes the case for why and how here in the Heartland we should continue to lead the country in matters of voter registration, this time moving to a 21st century system of universal voter registration. The report can be downloaded from this page.
While much of the heartland is ahead of the curve in terms of voter registration and turnout, we are still settling for an archaic, inefficient systems that doesn't achieve the outcomes it should. A 21st century universal voter registration system would boost our system's efficiency, reliability and quality control, all of which would result in increased integrity and legitimacy in our elections.
