Blade-In-A-Blade Technology

TRENCH’N edge has inserted our Sub-Surface Drip Irrigation Blade, inside our normal landscape or irrigation cutting wheel.

By removing our wider cutting teeth (5” wide by 0” to 6” depth) you expose our narrow Sub-Surface Drip Irrigation and Low Voltage teeth for a narrow cut (1” wide by 0” to 5”depth).

This allows you to install drip irrigation, low voltage lighting, dog fencing and irrigation zone wiring without buying an additional blade.  For only $75, these teeth can be added to your trencher for this added flexibility.

For The Edge Announces New Irrigation Trencher for Subsurface Drip System

For the Edge, Inc. announces its new irrigation trencher designed specifically for the installation of Subsurface Drip Irrigation Systems.  Consumer demand has been growing for subsurface drip irrigation systems because they save water and are environmentally friendly.  The TRENCH’N edge Trencher is the most affordable and versatile trencher that can install these types of irrigation systems.

The TRENCH’N edge Trencher makes it easy to install these systems by discharging the trenched material directly on to tarps for easy clean-up. The unit cuts a one-inch wide trench and zero to seven inches deep, at 35 feet a minute. The speed of trenching and the ability to put the spoils in the adjoining hole allows for quick installation, less damage to existing lawns, and easy clean-up. This also keeps installation labor to a minimum.

“Our new trencher uses our patented floating cutting blade and dual discharge system to make it easy for irrigation professionals and homeowners to install the subsurface drip systems,” says Patrick E. Dean, President of For the Edge, Inc.

The new trencher can also be used to install water reclamation systems from newer technology septic systems.

New Product Announcement: New Versatile Blade

Our new Versatile Blade cuts an angled trench for natural bed edging, plastic edging and stone edging.  The blade can cut an angled trench from 2” wide x 2” deep to 5” wide x 5” deep.  Since you can dial down the depth of the blade you can provide the customer the exact request of width and depth without buying additional blades.  In addition it can cut a trench for brick and concrete edging, by using the same blade.  That is why we call it the Versatile Blade.
